Job description / Role
Restaurant manager responsibilities include smooth running of the day to day operations, maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals as well as overseeing production and service to ensure all the SOP’s are being followed.
The restaurant manager is required to handle all guest requests/complaints with patience compassion, offering solution to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate the entire restaurant operation, including front-of-house and back-of-house.
• Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
• Respond and resolve efficiently all customer complaints.
• Organize and supervise shifts, offs and vacation planning of all staff.
• Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory. Ensure proper goods receiving and as per the provided guidelines.
• Oversee maintenance of the property and equipment.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Able to comply with Laws and Municipal regulation that pertain to health and safety and labour requirements of the restaurant.
• Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of professional development and review performance and appraisals.
• Create a healthy work environment.
• Able to develop branding, marketing and promotional activities of the restaurant
• Manage the teams expenses and claims
• Ensure adherence to operating budget of the restaurant
• Manage the team on a daily basis including resolving issues and maintaining high motivation levels within the team
Requirements
• 6 years of Restaurant experience with a minimum of one year as an Asst. Restaurant Manager in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge
• Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of the operation,
• Ability to drive hospitality and inspire others to do so,
• Must exhibit an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence at every level.
