Job Description

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in leading all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for every guest. You will be a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to inspire excellence in a diverse team. Your role will involve daily operations, staff development, guest engagement, and financial performance, all while upholding the brand's highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently delivered.
  • Lead by example on the floor during service, supporting the team and engaging with guests to create personalized dining experiences.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and guest-centric service.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with efficiency, grace, and professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.
  • Assist in scheduling, payroll input, and ensuring adequate staffing levels based on business demands.
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and operational equipment, placing orders and controlling costs where appropriate.
  • Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards in line with local regulations and brand expectations.
  • Support in driving revenue through effective upselling, promotions, and guest engagement strategies.
  • Analyze service reports and guest feedback to recommend improvements and elevate service delivery.

Desired Skill & Expertise Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a high-end or luxury restaurant/hotel environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership presence with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure service periods with calm efficiency.
  • Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, reservation platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
