This is a full-time on-site role for an assistant teacher in the Arabic / Islamic department, starting on 5 January 2026. The position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The assistant teacher will support the lead teacher in delivering lessons, assist in the preparation of teaching materials, offer individualized support to students, and oversee classroom activities. They will also foster a positive and inclusive learning environment while ensuring adherence to educational standards and school policies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in assistant teaching and working with children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge in education principles and experience in classroom settings
- Understanding of national agenda requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment
- Fluency in Arabic is compulsory
- Proficiency in English language will be an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar role and familiarity with Islamic academic environments is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in education, Arabic, or a related field is an advantage

- Work closely with classroom teachers and the Arabic/Islamic team to implement individualised education plans and targeted support strategies.
- Provide one-to-one or small-group interventions to support students’ academic progress.
- Adapt and differentiate learning materials under teacher guidance to ensure curriculum access for students with diverse learning needs.
- Promote student independence, resilience, and confidence by using inclusive strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Support students both inside and outside the classroom, including during lessons, transitions, and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to the observation, monitoring, and recording of student progress, sharing feedback with the relevant teachers and leaders.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and included.
- Collaborate with colleagues and attend relevant training to continuously develop your knowledge and practice to contribute to the overall department's progress.
