Assistant Vice President, Structured Finance

Job description / Role

Charterhouse are currently supporting one of our financial services client’s, whom are looking to hire a technical Financial Analyst, within one of their Structured Finance teams.

At an Assistant Vice President (AVP) level, this role will initially be hired on a temporary basis with an option for renewal and/or extension of tenure. Joining a desk with an Oil & Gas coverage, this position will oversee and support areas of financial analysis, client pitches and product specification through extensive and in-depth financial modelling. These financial models are used as a provision and back-up support to the front office team and the pipeline of financing transactions and require detailed formulae and scenario analysis across the product platform, service offering and contractual obligations.

The successful candidate shall be required to create robust finance models, within Excel format, along with commentaries and notes to ensure detailed appraisal and insight to financing options, any macro-variations and changes to the term sheet.

Requirements

The client will look for a candidate whom can demonstrate up to 5 years of experience, within a financial and analytical-based role, ideally from a banking and/or oil & gas environment. The candidate shall be tested across their capabilities within Excel; to deliver detailed and accurate models that can cater for complex financial products within the parameters of loan agreements and scenario analysis of change.

The successful candidate shall also be required to demonstrate a baseline knowledge of financing agreement and/or investment products; thus ensuring a commercial support and insight to the coverage teams with a purposeful and specified back-up whilst also ensuring any client engagement or explanatory input.
