We are seeking talented accounting experts who are aspiring a career in a highly-accelerated accounting team who have the strive to bring values to the group accounting team,

Your work will have a direct impact on the day to day Retail accounting division locally and regionally.

What you'll do

The Associate Accountant follows policies and procedures related to recording of supplier invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements, and participate in assistance for financial and KPI reporting. Below are the key Retail accounting activities which you will be covering on a daily basis,

- Accounts Payable
- Employee Accounts
- Payroll related
- PRO Advances
- Sales / Collections / rents and Reporting
- Cash and credit card reconciliation
- Other tenders' reconciliation
- Statement of Financial Position monitoring for bank and tender accounts.
- Auditing and control
- Accounts Receivable
- Intercompany
- Treasury / Fixed Assets and Payments
- Data entry, Book keeping and Audit

Operational:

- Implement activities under close supervision
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in timely a manner Accounting:
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
- Prepare and update records for checks' requests and invoices for payment
- Record monthly credit card expense transactions
- Verify and post details of business transactions
- Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers
- Assist in major bank reconciliations Accounting Assistant Data Review and Compilation Data Entry and Book Keeping Reconciliation Support Business Transactions Review Checks Preparation Reporting Data Entry and Book Keeping:
- Enter data into computer system using defined computer programs (SAP)
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents and records
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable)

Requirements

What you need to succeed in this role,

- Previous experience in an Audit/ Accounting firm,
- Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles.
- Ability to perform elementary mathematical operations.
- Willingness to meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
- Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information.
- Close attention to detail.

Education and Experience Background:

- 1-2 years' experience
- Accounting Graduate
- ACCA, CIMA (UK), ACA (UK, Ireland, South Africa, Scotland, Australia), CPA (USA and Canada)
- Linguistic Skills
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
