Role Purpose

We are currently looking for an Associate Cost Manager to be based in our company and client offices in Dubai to work on a prestigious pre and post-contract residential project. The successful candidates will be responsible for showing high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge, and a good understanding of the key drivers for cost and value, capturing and sharing knowledge, and driving innovation in service.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects largely independently and deal directly with clients, JLL management, taking ownership for delivery.
• Robust knowledge of cost estimation in the UAE and a clear understanding of the levers associated with design to budget strategy.
• Experience in Value Engineering across various RIBA design stages.
• Manage team resources during both pre and post-contract design stages.
• Use CostX, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs to an advanced level.
• Work pre-contract including reviewing detailed measurements, sections of BOQs, handling tender query responses, managing the PQQ process with support, and input into value engineering at each design stage.
• Work post-contract including being strong in contract administration, comfortable on site walks with project teams, preparing cash flow reports, drafting monthly payment recommendations and weekly commercial dashboards, managing variations, and assisting in closing out projects and claims/variations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Degree in related subject (BSc Quantity Surveying).
• Professional membership (MRICS certified).
• 12+ years of working experience managing teams.
• Working experience in the UAE.
• Experience winning projects as Cost Consultant.
