Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Specialist, Quality Assurance and Performance assists with the provision of quality control over the implementation and execution of areas that fall under the responsibilities of Group Compliance Assurance as well as assist the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Performance to promote and manage a culture and practice of quality assurance to assist in improving delivery of Compliance Assurance expectations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities
• Assist in undertaking quality assurance in relation to all core Compliance Assurance responsibilities.
• Assist in ensuring standardization and consistency of all functions performed by the Compliance Assurance function. Including but not limited to Compliance Reviews, control checks under the Operational Risk Framework (ORF), annual Risk Assessment, Obligations Register and dissemination of Management Information (MI).
• Embed proposed control enhancements and simplifications
• Assist the Compliance Review team to monitor and ensure closure of items contained in the country Issues Tracker.
• Assist in reporting and tracking of Africa and Middle East audits performed by GIA specifically with regard to action points owned by Compliance and assist in identifying trends and ensuring findings are communicated effectively to prevent similar findings in other areas of the Region.
• Support countries to prepare for upcoming Audits / Reviews.
• Ensure that all core documents are maintained and are available for easy access should Audit / Regulator require same.

Stakeholders Relations
• Partner closely with the Group Compliance Assurance teams, Cluster Heads and in-country compliance teams, ensuring there is a consistent message throughout the Region.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have strong compliance and QA experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and administrative skills
• High attention to detail is a mandatory requirement,
• Able to interpret and effectively communicate clearly to the business findings / trends and to be able to engage all relevant stakeholders
• An inquisitive and proactive approach to practices, procedures and specific transactions.
• Ability to provide training and leadership to country Compliance colleagues.
