WSP seeks a highly experienced, strategically minded and results driven practitioner with regional and international experience of managing and developing complex master and urban designs on complex large-scale opportunities.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Primary focus to own Lead Design Consultant Integrated Master Planning opportunities
* Lead and manage bids then direct delivery - 'Cradle to Grave'.
* Act as senior client interface e.g. Master Planning and Engagement Director on 3-5 client engagements (alongside nominated Project Directors)
* Direct a multi-disciplinary inclusive team including 3^rd party architects to create fully integrated and commercially viable master plans
* Build trusting relationships with Masterplanning Architects on the back of existing WSP global relationships, aligning 'practice' capabilities to prospects in the portfolio
* Support building the required marketing material to raise the awareness of WSP's master planning experience
Expertise
* Set new standards for the provision cutting edge technical design and urban planning
* Drive Technical Excellence and Innovation e.g. Digital Master Planning, new design tools etc;
* Identify opportunities to raise WSP's profile e.g. thought leadership activities, marketing and conferences
* Develop the strategy for Master and Urban Planning expertise and client service offerings - identify internal or external talent
Operational Excellence
* Responsible for relationship building and driving collaborative working on LDC opportunities across all WSP business units
* Build commercially viable bidding and delivery fee models, targeting 40% operating margin supported by adequate contracting and legal reviews
* Personally target a productivity rate of 30-50% across 3-5 client accounts
People
* Actively drive direct reports and indirect LDC Project teams, coaching, mentorship and retention
* Drive and act upon feedback through the Peakon feedback cycles
* Regularly engage with direct and indirect team members and document feedback
Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* A highly honed client-facing engagement skills across wide range of regional GCC clients including private developers, quasi-government bodies, DevCos etc;
* Can demonstrable capabilities in winning and delivering work (from bid strategy and execution to project delivery and completion)
* Have core design skills, analytical capability and technical familiarity with major infrastructure projects, transport orientated development, landscape architecture, environmental planning and sustainability
* Suitably qualified with an Architecture, Urban Design or Planning degree and preferably an MBA
