Employment: Full Time

Our client is a privately owned oil and gas company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, with a long heritage, having begun operations in 1971. They were the first regional, independent, privately owned petroleum company to be involved in every stage of the oil and gas production process from exploration to refining and sales.

Such is the success our client is enjoying right now they are looking to employ an Associate, Finance as soon as possible.

This position will involve:
- the raising of finance for upstream oil and gas projects and corporate/asset acquisitions.
- analysing and assessing company-related investments.
- research, analysis and financial modelling
- assisting in the preparation of detailed presentations, documents and reports for senior management

Requirements

- Previous experience in the upstream oil and gas industry is mandatory. Candidates without this will not be considered
- Investment bank analyst training and a solid grounding in accounting, corporate finance, valuation and knowledge of securities and financial markets
- Knowledge and experience of project and corporate finance to company activities and projects
- Ability to work closely with other parts of the Company (e.g. legal and upstream teams)
- Experience of liaising with external parties (such as banks, lawyers, consultants)
- Expertise in conducting high quality research into markets and companies.
- Preparation of reports, research papers, strategic analysis and presentations of a sufficiently high standard to assist in decision making by senior management and external parties.
- Financial modelling
- Ability to build and maintain complex financial models (in Excel and other appropriate software packages) to assist on-going projects with minimal supervision
- Identification of legal requirements and Government reporting regulations affecting the company’s financial strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations and the overall Group Financial policy.
- Strong team player and obvious supporter of the Company and its events.
- Continuous improvement of position and professional reputation in the UAE
- Conduct regular research and studies to enhance industry knowledge by attending work related conferences particularly within the Energy Sector as well as attending relevant seminars on Finance, Legal, Industry and work related subjects.
