Associate - Global Services - IT

Job description / Role

• Applies knowledge of the firm’s IT policies and procedures in a variety of defined activities
• Works with a moderate level of guidance from senior IT people in the office and Shared Services Centre resources
• Performs non-routine work of moderate complexity
• Responds to non-standard requests; investigates solutions with assistance as needed
• Identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations
• Assist the Senior IT staff in maintaining up to date information on technology assets which will be used for preparation of the office Technology Budget.
• Install, maintain and configure hardware and software systems according to company policies.
• Troubleshoot and repair network, hardware and software components.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of network and server systems.
• Test network and server systems to verify functionality and performance.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades to achieve optimum performance level.
• Perform root cause analysis of complex problems and provide corrective actions.
• Maintain IT infrastructure and manage help desk issues.
• Perform system back-up and database archiving processes to ensure data recoverability.
• Update software antivirus on regular basis.
• Provide technical support to servers, networks, telephones, and other computing platforms.
• Order and stock equipment and supplies when necessary.
• Monitor and control expenses within allotted budget.
• Provide advice and training to other associates.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of telephone system.

Requirements

• College degree strongly preferred.
• One to two years of related experience providing customer service in a technological environment.
• Knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, programming languages, and operation systems.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and some experience with computer applications and operating systems. May be tested on appropriate computer skills as required.
• Should have the capability to analyze issues & troubleshoot
• Capable to work in and as a team
• English communication is necessary
