Job Description & Summary

Responsibilities
- Overseeing overall deployment of approx. 400 staff across UAE Core Assurance
- Line manager to 2 Resource Officers in Dubai
- Act as an escalation point for the team and drive processes/correct ways of working - working with the Partners and ATP Leader
- Manage UAE Core headcount and reconcile this on a monthly basis with finance reports. Working with the recruitment team to manage the pipeline of candidates and ensure the right headcount for the business. Providing analysis on this to the IGL's and ATP Leader.
- Attend weekly meetings with UAE Core recruitment teams discussing progress with candidates, flagging urgent hires & ensuring we are hiring in line with budgeted headcount.
- Ensure the resourcing officers are sending accurate weekly MI to the business i.e availability / utilisation
- Lead the myPlanning budgeting process for UAE Core Assurance with the resourcing officers, dealing with clash management and continuity issues. Manage completion against deadlines and compliance against the policy.
- Through the annual budgeting process encourage more work to be pushed to our center of excellence, reviewing team pyramid structures & team mix etc.
-Continuous forward planning of RM processes and seeking new ways to tackle availability and utilization (as well as handling low performing staff).
- Review Manager client portfolios annually (for some of the Industry Groups) in line with promotions to ensure fair development of our staff. Identify opportunities for Senior Associates to start managing smaller clients and take on more managerial roles.
- Run ad-hoc reports for leadership and client teams i.e. provide operational data for the Partner and Director meetings
- Drive the clash management and busy season staffing process
- Ensure the team plan new joiner, graduate & intern portfolios
- Lead Resourcing Induction sessions for all new external hires (core assurance) with support of the team
- Developed strategic relationships with PwC India & PwC Pakistan Assurance practices; managing staff secondments (contractors) particularly for Financial Services
- Manage cost centre changes for Core Assurance i.e moves in and out of the business
- Ensure all staff Professional Qualification pathways and Learning & Education training is accurately reflected in talentlink as well as support with relevant process
- Now also heavily involved in the Assurance Talent Programme (ATP)
- Attend weekly ATP team meetings
- ATP reporting to business & IGLs (e.g. budget v actuals v talentlink) - shared 3 times a month
- Re-develop core processes and policies in line with new ATP function
- Involved in various ATP projects currently: amend all reporting / review staff portfolios / PQ and L&E workstream / chaegeable hours analysis per IG / Graduate career coaches / clash management process etc.

Other Duties
- Attend monthly xlos resourcing meetings with other ME Resourcing Teams
- Working closely with the wider Resource Management network across the Middle East, building relationships with teams in Assurance as well as Advisory, Consulting and Tax - continuously sharing best practices, mobilizing staff across the firm to hot spots & seeking ways to improve utilization in low season, as well as identifying specialist skills for technical projects.
- Share Assurance graduate utilisation analysis for MELT on a monthly basis
- Provide UAE assurance data and commentary on leadership Resourcing Dashboard

Requirements

Requirements
- Previous experience with resource deployment is required
- Strong knowledge and use of Excel
- Experience of managing other team members
- Stakeholder management
- Exposure of the UAE market would be advantageous

Education
- Educated to degree level within subjects such as Business/HR or an equivalent qualification such as CIPD
- 4+ years experience
- Strong communicator, someone who's professional and can build good working relationships
