Speech Technologist: Audio/Speech Signal Processing Engineer
Position Description:
Our company provides innovative AI solutions, applications and insights related to human language processing, speech recognition and generation domains. We are seeking talented engineers, scientists, and software developers to help us develop and deliver robust AI products that have challenging conditions. As part of our team you will develop and evaluate advanced speech and signal processing algorithms and implementations. This will include performing modeling and simulation for a variety of audio, speech, signal processing, noise cancellation and human language processing applications. You will also design and conduct acoustic testing, both in the company lab and in the field as customer requires for speech applications and advanced acoustic models.
About Responsibilities:
- As an Audio/Speech Signal Processing Engineer you will optimize speech algorithms for real-time and digital processing implementations.
- You will test and evaluate speech algorithms (intelligibility, speaker ID, voice activity, blind source separation, audio processing) and advanced concept microphone arrays.
- You will develop speech algorithms that interface with advanced machine and deep learning models. You will analyze and understand audio applications such as speech modeling, speech recognition, blind source separation, and speaker ID.
- You will work in harmony with software developers and machine learning scientists, prepare technical reports, test plans, and project plans to successfully deliver speech-based AI products.
Requirements
About Qualifications:
- Has a M.S. (extra points for Ph.D.) in Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering discipline. More points if has development experience in a major machine learning/deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Has Experience in speech, audio, or acoustics signal processing. More points if demonstrated 5+ years of experience in speech and human language processing technologies.
- Have a decent programming ability in Python/C/C++ and understands theoretical acoustics and is able to perform modeling and simulation preferably in MATLAB or in native deep learning frameworks.
- Works effectively with other engineers, scientists, and/or customers as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Has strong problem solving and personal communication skills
