Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Proven, demonstrable experience architecting and implementing disaster recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Backup.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python).
• Deep understanding of core Azure services: Compute (VMs, Scale Sets), Networking (VNet, VPN, Load Balancers), Storage (Blob, Managed Disks), and Identity (Azure AD).
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts relevant to disaster recovery, including DNS, routing, and network security groups.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Highly desirable (nice-to-have)

• Microsoft Azure Certification: AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate).
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud disaster recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of database high-availability and disaster recovery (e.g., SQL Server Always On, Azure SQL Geo-Replication).
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to data resilience.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting for disaster recovery monitoring.
