Back-End Developer

Job description / Role

Quest Search and Selection is working with one of the biggest retailers in the Middle East, looking for looking for a Back-End Developer. You will be working in an agile, dynamic environment and will be responsible for multi-faceted software development, integration, and application builds including mobile application components.

As a Back-End Developer, you will:

- Write web services & APIs, and define application requirements
- Develop high-performing e-commerce back-end
- Perform front-end integration of end-user elements with server-side logic
- Work with Front-end and other team members to align product design and objectives
- Gather and analyze data as guide for troubleshooting and recommending enhancements
- Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by keeping up-to-date with industry developments and trends

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a back-end developer in an agile environment
- Technical skills in: advanced coding, Cloud-based platforms (PaaS, SaaS), Spring Boot , Apache Kafka, Json, Gradle
- A team player, with excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Very good English communication skills
- Arabic speaker (advantage)
