Baker (Commis 3)

Rixos Marina Hotel Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. If you have a flair for creating delicious baked goods and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, bread, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes or special dietary requirements

- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing and artistic manner

- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure quality and consistency

- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all stages of food preparation and handling

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to plan and coordinate baking schedules

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new baking techniques

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.

- Cope with standing for long hours and with heavy lifting.

- Able to work in cold conditions.

- Be comfortable handling raw meat, animal tissue and meat products.

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

- Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team

Physicals aspects include but are not limited to:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift

- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
