Job description / Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our onboard hospitality team. The ideal candidate will craft high-quality coffee beverages while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at sea and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences.

- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and specialty creations.
- Innovate and craft new cold drink recipes tailored to seasonal themes, guest preferences, and brand standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations and ensuring satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies proactively.
- Ensure compliance with onboard hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista in a high-volume setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- STCW Certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) is mandatory.
- Must include Basic Safety Training modules: Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, and Elementary First Aid.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
