Job description

Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Report to duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards.
• Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the colleagues of Pronto and the Fairmont Dubai.
• Fully understand and follow the hotel's recycling program and procedures.
• Actively participate in all health and safety procedures for Pronto and the entire hotel.
• Always take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring all solutions exceed the guests' expectations.
• Understand each service station and all side duties assigned to that station.
• Carry out any miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by your manager pertaining to total quality service delivered in Pronto.
• Flexibility in availability for changing shifts according to the demand of the business.
• Comply with all Fairmont rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure excellent first impression of the guest by practicing excellent personal hygiene and impeccable cleanliness of the outlet.
• Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal and detailed service in an upscale, fast paced environment.
• Assist in the development of new and innovative beverage concepts for u00e0 la carte menu and monthly promotions.
• Work with leaders and department trainers to train and evaluate team on beverage standards.
• Work with the team to achieve greater results and positive relations.
• Provide service consistent with all Fairmont standards.
• Perform duties as requested by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required.
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Physical aspects of position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
