Job description / Role
Job Purpose
To deliver excellent customer service through: identifying customer needs, offering advice and demonstrating suitable products; building relationships with key customers and ensuring store standards are maintained in order to achieve sales targets and cultivate customer loyalty.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the store; identify their needs through asking questions; recommend and demonstrate appropriate products; recommend link products; close the sale; provide professional till point service; follow up with regular customers; maintain personal grooming standards; deal professionally with customer complaints. Advise customers about promotions in store.
- Ensure product hygiene guidelines and merchandise of products, as per the defined standards.
- Rotate stocks to ensure that existing stock is displayed in front of new items on the shelves.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, including window displays.
- Check stock levels daily and recommend orders to the store manager or counter supervisor in order to replenish and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Ensure all store and office administration, as per manager's request, is completed accurately and on time, including customer database cards.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Training in cosmetology, beauty therapy, and make-up.
Years of Experience
- 1 to 2 years retail sales or customer service experience in the beauty industry.
