BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) Engineer

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Design and Implementation:
• Lead the technical design of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Define and monitor performance indicators for energy storage systems.
• Select appropriate equipment and components for BESS projects.
• Coordinate comprehensively with clients, supervisory teams, and equipment manufacturers to ensure seamless integration and operation of BESS solutions.

Documentation and Contract Management:
• Draft energy storage-related content for bidding and contract documents.
• Ensure all technical documentation meets the standards and requirements of the project and industry regulations.

Client and Stakeholder Coordination:
• Act as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal teams.
• Provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering to implementation and maintenance.
• Participate in meetings and presentations with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Project Management:
• Oversee the implementation of BESS projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to monitor project progress and resolve any technical issues.

Requirements:

Education:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy Storage, Thermal Dynamics, or other related fields.

Experience:
• Minimum of two years of experience in the energy storage industry.
• Proven experience in participating in BESS project tendering and the implementation of BESS projects.
• Experience with project management and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of BESS design and implementation.
• Proficiency in drafting technical documents and contracts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in relevant software and tools used in energy storage system design and management.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certifications in energy storage or related fields.
• Experience with renewable energy projects and technologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to energy storage systems
