With over 50 years of business success, we have built a reputation as the world leader in specialist recruitment and workforce solutions. But joining Hays isn’t just about being part of a global business leader; together with over 12,000 people worldwide, you’ll be making a difference in the world of work.

Your new role

As a Bid Manager with Hays you will be responsible for planning and managing bids and tenders for all of our recruitment divisions in the Middle East. This covers simple single country opportunities through to complex, multicountry bids for permanent, contract, executive search and outsourced recruitment solutions.

This is an individual contributor role which works closely with internal stakeholders in both front and back office. You will be responsible for managing the bid from planning to closure, you will work on selection questionnaires, tenders, proposals, and presentations; coordinating solutions with senior management and ensuring a fully compliant and outstanding bid is submitted. The role will involve managing and presenting information from a number of different sources and stakeholders to produce high quality content.

As a Bid Manager you will produce innovative, professionally written content that clearly articulates all elements of the bid. You will be expected to work independently and must be fully comfortable not just leading but writing bid responses in a complex and everchanging environment.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex RPO and MSP bids as well as having experience chairing key internal bid governance meetings.

You will have deep knowledge of the bidding process with a solid understanding of how to structure, compile and write a bid response and be a self-sufficient problem solver who can work independently. You are familiar with managing various procurement portals (especially Ariba), liaising with clients as part of the bidding process. You have excellent writing skills, strong written and spoken English, preferably also Arabic language skills.

Understanding of the recruitment industry, RPO and MSP, talent acquisition and workforce management trends globally, with the ability to differentiate proposals and types of content accordingly is strongly preferred. You will be able to create responses that highlight our relevant experience and bring out key win themes. You have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and run demanding campaigns in parallel, working with different stakeholders on different projects simultaneously.

You are self-motivated to set and prioritise work, schedule and manage time effectively. You possess good analytical skills, able to quickly grasp client intentions from questionnaires and briefing documents, interpret and communicate this back to internal stakeholders. You are confident and able to flag risks that could put the bid at risk.

You have authority and the ability to negotiate and influence others. You must be highly computer literate and experienced with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Due to the role being very varied, you will be highly organised and adaptable ensuring projects are delivered within agreed time scales, copying well under pressure and in a changing environment.
