The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join the Dubai office of a global law firm for a 6 month contract period. There is the possibility this contract will extend, depending on the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing expertise in a complex billing system, processes and key client billing requirements. This role involves working closely with the Finance team and collaborating with them locally and internationally to improve communication between PA and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

* Develop expertise in the firm's complex billing system, processes and client billing requirements.
* Identify and implement process improvements relating to global client billing requirements with a focus on reducing errors and bill reversals.
* Be the local contact for key international clients billing requirements and communicate relevant information to local secretaries.
* Understand the end-to-end billing process including creating standard bills, disbursements, amending narratives and raising credit notes.
* Develop a strong working relationship with the Finance team and collaborate with others locally and internationally to improve the communication between the Finance and Secretarial teams.
* Work with the Revenue Manager and team to manage the team's client reporting and end-of-month billing, delegating bills to team members as appropriate, and ensuring individual team members are across any relevant client billing requirements.
* Consult regularly with Partners agreeing approach for their billing/client reporting and be the 'go to' person for the Finance team.

The Requirements

* A minimum of 2 years experience in a billing coordinator role preferred.
* Experience in a legal environment preferred.
* Experience using SAP is essential
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
* GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 and above or equivalent
* The ability to handle work of a confidential nature and act with professionalism and discretion at all times.
