BIM / CAD Specialist (Coordinator)

Job description / Role

Our Leading Global Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant BIM / CAD Specialist to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on high profile and iconic new build projects in the Emirates. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and skilled BIM/CAD Specialist to lead the production of conceptual, design, and execution-stage visual materials. This role will work closely with the lead architects, and lead engineers to deliver innovative and high-quality outputs. Candidates must have worked for recognised Consultancy companies previously

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary point of contact for BIM, CAD, Revit, (Inventor is a plus) and 3D modeling coordination as well as graphics and project visualizations.
• Preparation and formatting of information for presentations to include BIM, CAD drawings, overlays, Photoshop and Illustrator visualizations, other.
• Development of BIM guidelines.
• Coordination of BIM/CAD processes related to the implementation of BIM for project controls.
• Provide project team with necessary CAD and 3D model, and Revit collaboration and management support.
• Create Navisworks and/or Synchro animations by linking models to project schedules to develop phasing and logistics simulations.
• Prepare Concept 3D models and visualizations
• Create 3D modelling from architectural plans, interior design plans, sketches and elevations, details, and have knowledge of related visualization and photorealistic rendering techniques
• Create detailed plans, sections, elevations, details, scheme studies, options, etc.
• Prepare and modify drawings from feasibility to detail design
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by the lead engineer and lead architect
• Assist and coordinate with CEO, lead architect and lead engineer
• Prepare design reports for presentations to clients
• Consult with other professionals on the design and layout

• Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Architecture. MSc preferred
• A minimum of 5-8 years postgraduate experience in Architecture with a key focus on iconic regional projects.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD 2D and 3D. Inventor is a distinct advantage
• Expert knowledge of 3D, Adobe CS Suite and MS Office or equivalent
• Knowledge of 3D MAX and Rhino is an advantage
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural drawings/sketches and plans and must be able to convert them into software
• Must be able to visually communicate concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
• Advanced geometrical understanding
