BIM Coordinator

Job description / Role

Randstad has partnered with an international architecture and engineering consultancy in the search for two BIM Coordinators to join the team in Dubai. One BIM coordinator will join the architectural team and the other will work within Interiors. The BIM coordinators must be technically strong within interiors or architecture with experience setting up, developing and delivery BIM models within the UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, development, and delivery of well-structured BIM models within the discipline.
- Ensure all CAD and BIM data adhere to the BIM Project Execution Plan (BEP).
- Support automation of generative design routines to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to the setup, configuration, and management of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project use.
- Ensure that Project Information Models (PIMs) comply with the agreed Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and CDE protocols.
- Maintain and update QA/QC check templates, as well as track quality assurance activities.
- Ensure the highest standards for BIM package submissions by aligning them with project-specific requirements.
- Properly document, store, and manage all formal correspondences related to BIM processes.
- Monitor, review, and report on the development of clash detection and coordination models.
- Conduct clash detection analysis and visual walkthroughs, prioritizing issues based on the clash severity matrix.
- Prepare discipline-specific models or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Review BIM submissions from trade contractors for compliance and quality.
- Support and oversee the data collection process, ensuring Asset Information Models (AIMs) meet client requirements.

To be considered for the role, candidates must have:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, with relevant experience in the UAE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with LOD 300 modeling using Revit and Navisworks.
- Ability to organize meetings to facilitate knowledge-sharing and technical discussions among project teams.
- Experience in early design review and constructability analysis.
- Familiarity with BIM classification systems such as Omniclass, Uniclass, and NRM.
- Proficiency in Dynamo (node-based programming) for automation and optimization.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
