WSP Middle East are currently looking for a GIS/ BIM Technician to join our ongoing project in Riyadh
A Typical Week Would Include
* Onboarding (BIM kick-off) meetings with consultants and contractors (Lead / Attend).
* Prepare and Maintain a BIM Management Plan for the full PMC Scope.
* Review and approve the BIM Execution Plan and related documentation for all projects.
* Review BIM work produced by the consultants and contractors at milestone submissions and end-of-stage submissions.
* Set-up CDE for related district project as per CLIENT guidelines and standards. Providing the necessary training to consultants and contractors in the use of the BIM CDE.
* Provide ad-hoc support to consultants and contractors during projects stages to facilitate them in achieving the BIM requirements.
* Support maintaining and distribute the project BIM Welcome Pack.
* Provide input and support during the procurement process of consultants and contractors. (Preparation of RFP/ITT).
* Respond to any BIM related RFC received from Bidders.
* Internal interface management between projects (to coordinate between LDCs in design stage to have a consistency in levelling and grading, additionally to ensure the right execution in construction phase) and between Districts (coordinating with District PMC BIM Managers)
* Assist in the Technical evaluation of consultants and contractors carrying out a BIM Capability, Capacity and Technical Assessment.
* Report to CLIENT on an on-going basis the status of BIM processes on projects through an integrated dashboard. Assisting Programme BIM Manager with Programme Level Reporting.
* Development of a high-level 4D phasing for the corresponding district that shall be aligned with the overall approved schedule.
* Assuring on the development of the Virtual Environment (by LDC & GC) that shall be aligned with CLIENT EIR & Vision
* Ensure documented standards, processes, procedures and workflows are adhered to, drive standards, processes & procedures.
* Capture Lessons Learned.
* Assist with setting up systems to manage the information exchange process;
* Ensure all information is controlled and disseminated efficiently to the intended parties using the mechanism developed and documented in the BEP
* Ensuring all project participants have continual access to the agreed information management systems;
* Providing training / up-skilling as required
* Work with Consultant / Contractor BIM Managers to ensure that BIM requirements are met with regards to: Model Management, BIM Quality Assurance & Management and Distribution of information
Requirements

* GIS Responsibilities
* Collect and update Existing plots and Master Plan GIS Layers from CLIENT and AECOM
* Convert IFC Design into GIS layers
* Generate H&C Surveys and H&C NOC GIS Layers
* Generate GIS Layers for Wells, Bore holes, Flood and any other layers affecting construction
* Prepare GIS Drawings for H&C, IFC, Existing plots and Master Plan Plots as needed.
* Prepare presentations for Land Management
* Develop Existing Plots Acquisition Tracker & Land Management Tracker
* Review Permits before submission to UMA
* CAD Responsibilities
* Prepare KMZ for GIS Information
* Prepare Cad drawings for GIS Information
* Prepare Cad drawings for Asset Managers as needed.
* Prepare Cad drawings for Temporary Works and Logistics
* Prepare drawings to support asset managers' presentations
* Convert pdf, kmzs to CAD drawings.
* Prepare Coordinates excel sheets and all GIS/CAD information related to H&C / NOC applications
* Other Digital Responsibilities
* Design and Maintain information Dashboards for tracking project's progress in terms of Land Acquisition, H&C survey, NOCs, Permits.
* Develop a central common Data Environment that link all stackholders Common Data Environment to enable WSP's team to access BIM Models
* Try and Test new solutions, software and platforms to facilitate information workflows

* Degree or Diploma relevant discipline
* 7-10+ years of post-qualification experience in BIM & CAD
