WSP are looking for a BIM/Revit Modeler to join our transport & infrastructure design team based in Sharjah, UAE.
The BIM Modeler will provide project teams with 2D and 3D drafting and modelling support. The candidate must have experience in Revit modelling in Structural discipline. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD, Revit-Structure. Candidates must have an experience working on CAD and BIM Modeling.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Support Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day 2D and 3D drafting and modelling activities for Structural discipline.
* Develop 3D/2D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation aligned with the project LOD requirements and modelling standards.
* Extract 3D models for clash analysis and schedule review.
* Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.
* Ensure all Models, drawings and deliverables are checked to comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
* Prepare the engineering drawings from the model that comprises of basic arrangements, layouts, details, sections etc.
* Create Revit families, specifically relevant to bridges & tunnels
* Perform Clash checks.
Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Preferably have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, otherwise 3 years Diploma is a must.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in Revit 3D Modeling.
* Must be familiar with Steel and Concrete Structure modelling.
* Knowledge of 3D modelling of bridge structures is compulsory
* Insight of water structures like pumping stations and marine structures, culverts and retaining walls is a plus.
* Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modelling, etc.).
* Understanding of BIM Template and processes, BIM Standards and workflow.
* Use of Common Data Environment for information exchange and Navisworks for clash analysis & resolution
* Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
* Experience working in the gulf region in particular the UAE and KSA would be an advantage.
* Essentials: (Revit Structure, Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise & AutoCAD).
* Preferable: (Dynamo, Sketchup and InfraWorks).
