BIM Technician

Job description / Role

Our well regarded Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced BIM Technician to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on high profile high rise and mall projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background creating detailed models from architectural and structural designs, managing model data, generating construction drawings, and ensuring model accuracy and compliance with project requirements on large scale high rise and mall build projects in the UAE and the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Developer business.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 Month Contract position as outsource employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D construction models using Revit & Navisworks
• Develops and manages Revit families and templates
• Integrate project design information with 3D models to ensure coordination and accuracy
• Perform clash detection and resolution within 3D models to identify and mitigate potential construction issues
• Assist in the preparation of construction documentation and 2D drawings for stakeholder meetings
• Model 3D geometry, including phased logistics and temporary works, using Revit and Navisworks
• Extract 2D drawings and create detailed sections and elevations from 3D models 8. Produce 2D construction drawings and documentation that effectively communicate design concepts and project plans to clients
• Ensure all models and drawings meet quality standards and are delivered within project timelines

• Minimum Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Civil, Architecture or related
• A minimum of 5-8 years experience in Structural / Architectural Draughting in Revit / BIM
• A minimum of 2 years experience with recognised PMC or Engineering Consultancy companies in the UAE.
• Project exposure in high rise and mall projects is required
• The ideal candidate must have strong Revit / BIM experience in all Design phase of projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and submissions.
