Job Position BPC Assistant Category Manager, NAME Central Team
Reports to NAME BPC Category Manager
Location Unilever House Dubai

Main purpose of the role

Beauty & Personal Care is the largest category within Unilever NAME comprising of five small Cs Skin Cleansing, Hair Care, Skin Care, Oral Care & Deos. It is a growing business with iconic global brands like Dove, Lux and Sunsilk amongst others.

The NAME BPC Central team is a core team with an exciting agenda. Responsible for leading region level category strategy, running regional (20s) innovations and handling complex global rollouts in addition to also being responsible for localizing new global Masterbrand's to the region across the small Cs.

This is a team that adds value to the business via intimate and astute consumer & category understanding & identifying upcoming trends. This is then further finetuned with sharp business acumen leading to defining portfolio and project workstreams to accomplish the ambition of BPC NAME

The ideal candidate should have an analytical mindset with strong quantitative reasoning skill and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues leading to thoughtful recommendations & action plans. At the same time also be creative and operate entrepreneurially & be a strong collaborator to navigate across a matrix of cross functional teams with a delivery mindset. Prior experience of digital & data driven marketing and e-commerce will be a major advantage.

In summary we are looking for a person with a strong marketing acumen, business acumen, high bias for action, resourcefulness and passion for high performance

You could be someone with a country marketing role keen to work on a wider scope or be someone driven by having a chance to work on innovations. This role would also be a good enabler for future roles with global teams.

Main accountabilities

- Anchor one large Small C across NAME, responsible for identifying category growth opportunities via market analysis & strong data back up along with rising trends.
- Lead strategic workstreams by working closely with CCBTs and global teams to identify portfolio opportunities
- Lead a 20s innovation project with mix development opportunity in close collaboration with cross functional teams like R&D, Supply Chain amongst others
- Lead localization and extension of new global Masterbrand's to the region
- Lead data driven campaign & Brand experience toolkit development across the above mentioned projects
- Ensure Health & Safety at work place

Requirements

Requirements:

- Min 4 years of marketing experience, and at least 2 of which should be within the North Africa Middle East region.
- Experience within FMCG will be an advantage
- Prior digital marketing experience is required
- Excellent written & verbal communication and fully functional knowledge of Arabic
