Job description / Role

Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the SVP of Strategy & Partnerships to develop annual communications plan for the EFE Network, in consultation with EFE Affiliates, and lead implementation for the USA and UAE markets
• Develop and lead communications campaigns with development department, EFE Affiliates, and partners
• Assist EFE Affiliates in developing local or partner communications strategies

Brand Management:
• Serve as a brand champion for the EFE Brand
• Lead brand strategy and drive alignment across the EFE Network
• Develop, design, and maintain all print and digital collateral (newsletters, brochures, content etc.)
• Maintain an online brand and communication assets library
• Lead development and production of EFE digital content to highlight EFE’s impact across the region
• Support donor communication and collateral to support donor outreach and fundraising campaigns

Digital & Social Media:
• Develop, implement and evaluate digital performance marketing and social media plan
• Design digital/social media strategy and implement across EFE-Global and ensure aligned with Affiliates
• Track and optimize and act on web/social media analytics and SEO for company website.
• Generate, curate and implement content for the company website to maintain and refresh content regularly
• Oversee contractor responsible for website administration, security and alterations

Media & Community Relations:
• Develop and implement media, influencer and community strategy with international/regional outlets
• Prepare EFE executive team and alumni with materials required for interviews, presentations and posts
• Maintain database of EFE media, influencer and community contacts and track coverage

Partnerships & Events:
• Working with the SVP of Strategy & Partnerships to identify opportunities with global corporate partners and media outlets and manage joint communications with global partners and donors
• Support partnership development with proposals for targeted companies or thought leaders that provide funding or expertise to advance the communications portfolio
• Draft reports and updates on communications activities to corporate partners
• Support EFE’s presence and participation in relevant events

Capacity-Building & Internal Communications:
• Lead monthly communication process in support of local EFE communications leads to coordinate programming and sharing best practices
• Mentor and coach affiliate communications leads to support local implementation
• Moderate, administer and advance adoption of internal platform Workplace by Facebook
• Support Global executive team on internal collaboration and values-related initiatives

Requirements

We seek an experienced and ambitious professional with at least 5 years of communications experience and exposure to the scope described above, ideally also familiar with non-profits that engage international audiences.

Keys to success in this role: Superb writing skills, an eye for design, entrepreneurial self-starter able to learn rapidly and manage multiple priorities, talent for motivating diverse teams, and understanding of cultures and ways of doing business in both the US and MENA. This position is located in Dubai and involves occasional travel where EFE operates. The successful candidate will have:
