Employment: Full Time

MISSIONS & RESPONSABILITIES
- The BD Coordinator will report to the Key Account Manager (KAM) in charge of several Defense Accounts of the group, within Thales organization in the UAE
- He or She will assist the KAM in his day to day activities and represent him in his absence. Future evolution to a full delegation from the KAM on one specific account can be envisaged.
- The BD Coordinator will act as deputy of the KAM, representing the overall portfolio of Thales, with regards to the defense key accounts

- Support the KAM in the functional management of the account team, including technical assistants and visitors from other Thales units (mainly Export Sales Managers)
- Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Marketing and Business Intelligence representatives
- Hold up-to-date records of the various missions from Thales visitors in the UAE for the KAM's accounts
- Hold an up-to-date record of the topics requiring the KAM's attention and track the progress of action plans
- Write a bi-weekly newsletter regarding the accounts, to be approved by the KAM and sent to a restricted community (to be defined)
- Support the KAM in various reporting activities
- Organize gate-passes for access to military sites
- Organize coordination meetings with the local account team
- Support and engage with the Defense Service Center when and as required

- Organize meetings with partners, customers and end-users
- Support project teams interfacing with the accounts with regards to administrative tasks (import permits, end-user certificates, letters of credit, follow-up on payments, FAT organizations, flight & hotel bookings, etc.)
- Interface with multiple stakeholders within a complex military environment
- Develop a network of key contacts within the UAE MoD in order to follow-up and support contract negotiations
- Be able, at the discretion of the KAM, to represent him in his absence, at various meetings

REQUIREMENTS


- Organizational skills are key on this position
- Diplomacy, discretion and rigor, as required within the industry
- Able to adapt to different audiences (civilians and military)
- Fluent in English, comfortable in French, Arabic is a plus
- Able to understand and maneuver within a Matrix Organization such as THALES
- Understanding of the Key Account Manager role in Thales and its strategic objectives
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are a must
- Experience in defense and/or with the UAE Ministry of Defense is a very strong plus
