Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Dubai Design Academy (DDA) was approved for implementation in 2018. In order to develop the program, recruit students and be able to deliver the education courses we must recruit faculty and business development resources.

The Business Development Executive must perform the above tasks while keeping in mind the long term strategic goals of the DDA and with a view to help support and grow the overall jewellery industry in Dubai / UAE.

Business Development
• Prospecting, identifying, & generating new business
• Growing DDA by focusing on increasing brand awareness, bringing in new students & clients, and coordinating public relations efforts
• Working with DMCC, academic institutions and industry participants to update and develop educational programs and product offerings
• Enhancing sales attractiveness and relevance of all DDA’s products on an annual basis Contact all customers in target and prospect list

DDA Ambassador
• Help promote the image of DDA as a leading authority in jewellery design by demonstrating expertise and understanding of the markets
• Liaise with industry stakeholders to create a broader coalition of brand ambassadors or representatives that will understand and communicate DDA’s vision
• Communicate with industry stakeholders and be recognized as an expert in the field

Requirements

• Sales, Marketing or Business Management degree
• Proven sales track record
• 2-3 years proven working experience as a business development executive, sales executive or a relevant role, preferably in the jewellery industry
• Market knowledge
• Must be fluent in Arabic and English
