Business Development Expert - Defense & Security EMEA
As an experienced defense expert and former senior military officer you will be drive and build a stronger defense business in Southern Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
You will be responsible for:
- Leveraging your expertise and network to gain market access to key defense leaders in the region.
- Driving growth and demand generation across the defense and security space in the region. ,
- Executing business development activities and leading relationship based activities with key defense customers in key markets.
- Define our competitive advantage through expertise, knowledge and setting out SAP's unique defense proposition and differentiation.
- Build distinct brand and market awareness through thought leadership, acting as key SAP speaker and enabler for events, customers, partners and local sales teams.
- Building a defense orientated knowledge base across our GTM for the region.
Area 1: Serve as a leader and expert for business development and demand generation across "virtual" teams. Delivering results across a target market in a best-in-class manner, leveraging the broader organization. Recruiting global and regional resources and partners to drive programs and initiatives.
Area 2: Create access for SAP to decision makers and influencers in the target market. Conduct all needed activities (cold calling, networking, reference based introductions, subject matter content delivery, ...) to open a highly credible conversation on the SAP capabilities to solve their problems
Area 3: Ensure high quality and measurable results for demand generation, customer engagements and market enablement for local sales teams.
Area 4: Be the creator, owner and motivation behind defense and security programmes, campaigns, asset development and local enablement.
Requirements
Experience and Language Requirements
We are looking for someone who has an extensive, relevant and current Defense pedigree, able to operate in Africa, Middle East and Southern Europe defense landscapes. You will have been a senior serving military officer until recently, and will have a high level of expertise and experience in modern defense challenges and threats.
Ideally you will have also some proven commercial and technology experience, either working in the ministry of defense's ICT arena or working with systems integrators in a current role.
We are looking for an individual who is able to adapt to large corporate environments and who has the capacity to play a lead enabling role in software sales, sales enablement and strategic customer engagement.
It will be essential to speak English and an additional language such as Arabic, French, Spanish or Italian would be an asset.
