Business Development Manager - WRS is an established name in the offshore marine sector with an enviable track-record of providing managed services, consultancy and crew management solutions to some of the leading names in the offshore industry.

As part of our strategic growth, WRS seeks to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive strategy and sales output for a highly successful division of WRS' global business. The role involves developing new and existing business for both crew management and offshore crewing on a global level. This is a home based Business Development Manager role in which you'll be travelling extensively, supporting 5 international office locations and visiting clients globally. Reporting into the CEO, this is a senior level position which offers you the chance to be part of driving WRS's expansion plans forward and developing an already well-established arm of the business further.

WRS is a multi-award winning staffing solutions business, head-quartered on the outskirts of Manchester in the North West of England with offices globally. We're a leading name in the offshore crewing industry and we've had a particularly successful 2 years in the Marine division, which has seen us grow to our current level of 15 vessels under management. The aim is to expand this significantly in the next 3 to 5 years. Alongside Marine, we offer recruitment solutions for clients, contractors and professionals worldwide within the Oil & Gas, Construction, Mining, Manufacturing & Engineering and Power industries.

Is this position for you?

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wholly own sales process from initial contact through to account development and bid proposal.
- Supporting bids and tender team on preparation of proposal and pricing.
- Devising sales strategy for WRS's crew management and offshore crewing service offering, and managing the delivery of the strategy to include all internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaising with the crewing team and internal sales consultants to drive both new business and account development opportunities.
- Map the market and track opportunities using all available resources and existing networks.
- Agree and manage KPI criteria as determined by both internal and external stakeholders
- Make recommendations to the board based on market trends and opportunities
- Work closely with the operational board and departmental peers to ensure delivery capabilities are optimised
- Participate in the cross pollination of leads and opportunities for the wider WRS business

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years experience gained in a similar role.
- A proven track record in winning new business opportunities and developing strategic accounts.
- The capability to work independently as this is a stand-alone role based from home. Whilst it would be advantageous to reside in Europe, we will consider applications from any location internationally.
