Job description / Role
Works under the direction of General Manager Commercial & BD and responsible for supporting/providing fully developed proposals for the operation and maintenance of Power and Water Projects being bid for and other O&M opportunities, as approved by the Board.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Acquires considerable knowledge of the O&M and the relevant systems throughout plants and applies it on his job.
• To be involved in reviewing the project documentation especially related to the O&M aspect of the potential business opportunity.
• To perform site due diligence visits as necessary and provide comprehensive reports.
• To review and comment on the high-level engineering documentation which is made available by the EPC Contractor during bid process
• To review the data room information and perform site visits to ascertain the condition of a potential O&M opportunity in case of a brownfield and/or merger/acquisition opportunity and provide comprehensive reports.
• To provide financial inputs (O&M numbers) to the financial modeler with respect to the development of the financial model for the potential O&M opportunity
• To liaise with other departments (Finance, Legal, HSE, Operations etc) to ensure a fully developed O&M proposal to be submitted to the client. 8 To be responsible for preparing the required O&M documentation for new bid projects.
• To review the financial model, O&M Term sheet/Contract, O&M SHA, O&M Direct Agreement, LTSA (Long Term Service & Parts Agreement) and other related agreements for the development of the O&M proposal.
• To be able to attend meetings at various locations (in different countries) on a short notice to participate in the O&M discussions.
• To provide progress reports as necessary.
• To provide support and ensure continuous review of risk management function for commercial & business development department.
• To ensure compliance with legal, contractual and organizational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor of engineering (B.E) in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrument & Control / Industrial Engineering or an MBA from a reputed institution. Preferred Master degree
• Minimum Eight years related experience, preferred More than ten years of related experience.
Required Skills
• Experience of working with various technologies, CCGT plants, conventional fossil fuel thermal power plants, MSF, MED desalination and SWRO plants. Solar and Wind plants experience is a plus
• Experience of working with diversity of fuel (gas, oil, and coal)
• Strong operational and maintenance background, thorough experience in working with various plant equipment and systems is preferable.
• Experience of Project O&M budgeting and cost control is preferable.
• Prior work experience in a business development role including O&M perspective is preferable.
• Experience in handling/dealing with LTSA and LTPA with gas turbine OEM’s is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 8. Good commercial and contractual know how

• Computer Proficiency, Microsoft office, MS outlook etc.
Work Condition
The position is anticipated to be based in Dubai Office and the person will be required to travel frequently to attend business meetings about business development activity. The job also requires the person to visit various plant locations to familiarize themselves with the existing plant operations.
