Business Development Manager

Job description / Role

• Develop a marketing plan and strategy through gaining a thorough understanding of the sector and the wider business requirements
• Assist the business to win work through strong client relationship skills
• Develop CRM plans alongside inter-department managers
• Develop and manage end-to-end campaigns
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
• Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
• Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
• Use and continually develop leadership skills
• Plan all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Provide industry knowledge and analysis through primary and secondary research
• Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and advise on marketing matters when required
• Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
• Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
• Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
• Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
• Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

Requirements

• Due to an expansion in our team, we are hiring a business development manager to take over a mix of existing accounts and new sales territory.
• To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and have a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.
