Business Development Manager – CIP Chemicals (Food Industry)

Job description / Role

Objective of the Role:
The Business Development Manager – CIP Chemicals (Food Industry) will drive commercial growth and lead technical sales strategies for CIP (Cleaning-In-Place) chemicals across the food and beverage sector in the MENA region. The role combines technical expertise in food hygiene and sanitation with strong business development and client management capabilities to expand market share and strengthen long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales and business development strategies for CIP chemicals in the F&B sector.
• Manage key accounts, multi-site clients, and large-scale CIP projects.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand regional presence.
• Provide technical consultancy to clients, addressing hygiene and sanitation challenges.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract agreements.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to optimize chemical applications.
• Prepare sales forecasts, proposals, and strategic market reports.
• Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and technical forums.
• Travel across the MENA region as required.

Interactions:

• Collaborate with internal technical, marketing, and commercial teams.
• Directly engage with decision-makers at food manufacturers, processors, and distributors.
• Report to regional or head office management on sales performance and market developments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in technical sales or business development of CIP/cleaning chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP, ISO, GFSI).
• Excellent negotiation, client management, and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to execute market strategies.

The ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager – CIP Chemicals (Food Industry) role should have:

Experience:

• Proven experience in business development or technical sales of CIP/cleaning chemicals within the food and beverage sector.
• Strong track record managing key accounts, multi-site clients, and large-scale CIP projects.
• Established relationships with food manufacturers, processors, and distributors across the MENA region.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• Additional certifications in hygiene, sanitation, or food safety (HACCP, ISO, GFSI) are a plus.

Skills:

• Deep technical understanding of CIP systems, hygiene programs, and chemical applications.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and execute market strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, client management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel across the MENA region and represent the company at industry events.
