This amazing organisation are looking for a commercially astute Business Development Manager to join their team to help actively build and develop the organisations strategy in its emerging markets primarily across Africa including remote locations.
About the role
This is a hands on role and the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of business development and commercial planning including, identifying new sales channel markets, nurturing and maintaining existing partnerships, and assisting with the company’s global marketing strategy. In this role you will be expected to undertake regular travel often to remote locations to provide dealer and end user training. In addition, you will grow the organisations presence and brand awareness through attending and representing at marketing events and trade shows. This role requires someone who has excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills and is able to educate and influence partners at all levels from Government officials to third party suppliers. This is a rare exciting opportunity which offers major personal development and leadership experience, where you will build annual business strategies and provide guidance and direction to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
To be considered for this role you should hold a Degree in business, management or related field and be fluent in English. Candidates who are also bilingual in either Arabic or French will be given preference due to the nature and demographic of the role. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining business relationships on an international scale with specific exposure to African markets. You should be extremely adaptable and willing to adopt a hands on approach where the business dictates including regular travel to up to 50% of key markets.
