Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to: Head of Sales
Subordinates: Based on experience, reporting staff will be allocated.
Other interactions: Sales forecasting and financial reporting.

Main responsibilities:
- To present and promote our brands both to direct and in-direct sales channels.
- To develop new business relationships and maintain existing relationships with our prospects and customers.
- To achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- To build very close relationship with clients, direct and indirect with the clear objective of making our brands the preferred choice of all specification and design customers.
- To spend 80% of your time out of the office in face to face meetings. Travel is a key part of the job, and overnight stays may be required.
- To be responsible for your own lead generation and appointment making. Your sales head will also assign existing accounts to be managed.
- You must possess drive, motivation, and acute attention to detail in ensuring that all sales and project opportunities for our brands are captured and explored.
- To manage the sales process from lead generation, through to qualifications and brief acquisition before handing on to the project management team for specification and project management.
- To arrange CPD (“lunch and learn”) presentations to present our brands to the specification market via professional and structured customer group meetings.
- To manage and maintain the CRM platform in order to create a healthy sales pipeline with accurate data.
- To create and be accountable for all customer presentations, proposals, contracts, and other documentation following company’s procedure and process.
- To works a team with rest of the team members and help achieve team targets.
- To keep abreast of developments in the lighting and lighting control market and feedback competitor activity to your line manager and marketing departments.

Probation: 3 to 6 months (based on experience)
Working Hours: Flexible
Travel requirements: Frequent travel within Middle East region, with a focus on GCC.
Gross monthly base salary: Negotiable
Commission / Bonus: Negotiable
Other Benefits: housing allowance, transportation allowance, medical insurance, yearly flight allowance to home country.

Requirements

- University Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
- Other certifications obtained: MSc in Managerial Sciences will be an asset.
- 5 years experience in Architectural Lighting.

Specialist knowledge:
- Good understanding of architectural lighting and how different lighting devices could serve different needs in an architectural project.
- Good understanding of lighting control protocols including but not limited to DMX, DALI and Phase Cut.
- On-site experience with façade contractors on different materials such as glass, aluminum and steel would be an asset. Candidate should be able to foresee challenges that may be brought by working different materials. Through the assistance of a technical team, he/she should be able to generate solutions in regards to mounting and wiring challenges.
- Knowledge on local regulatory guidelines will be an asset.

- Soft Skills and Personality traits: Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
- The candidate must have very good interpersonal communication skills to retain current customer database and add new prospects. Creative and colorful backgrounds, with relevance to fine arts would be an asset.
- Language Fluency: Proficiency in English is a must. Others would be an asset.
- Current Location: Preferably Dubai
