Job description / Role
Overview
Jointly develop and execute Etihad Cargo's commercial strategy for premium products: SkyStables, SafeGuard, FlightValet, SecureTech, LiveAnimals, and FlyCulture. Overall responsibility for all aspects of the portfolio, including but not limited to designing and executing a medium to long-term commercial strategy that brings Etihad Cargo into a leadership position within the premium cargo products sector. With a strong emphasis on commercial business development through sales steering among internal and external stakeholders, this position demands a candidate that will capture and cultivate market opportunities which will contribute to the global growth of the assigned product portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Become the subject matter expert of the assigned product portfolios within Etihad Cargo and represent the business at industry conferences and customer engagements.
- Develop, steer, and execute with commercial teams the strategic and tactical business plans by way of a sales steering strategy, supporting the Etihad Airways network design.
- Manage and drive opportunities by working closely with the Regional General Managers, Cargo, and their respective Area/Country Managers to grow product-based market shares, revenues, and yields.
- Be the headquarters point of contact for relatable global RFQs and local tenders, responsible for coordinating, collaborating, managing, and responding to timelines with commercial teams.
- Build and maintain business-critical relationships with logistics companies at a network level, as is relevant, carrying out duty travel to support and drive the commercial priorities of the business.
- Use data and information-based sources to consistently identify new trends, technologies, and service enhancements that can enhance Etihad Cargo's end-to-end product offering.
- Own and project manage all aspects of each product, its performance, product specifications, and features, with the support of dedicated product engineers and product support specialists.
- Effectively and efficiently collaborate with commercial teams, service delivery teams, hub operations, revenue management, and other supporting functions to ensure strategies are being delivered and standards are continuously being met for customers.
- Be ready to deliver on additional projects assigned by the Senior Manager, Cargo Products.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of commercial experience, including 5+ years in a business development role, with a focus on operations, sales, and customer management.
- Proven track record in business development, contract negotiation, and executing joint business initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
