Job description / Role
Client is one of the largest manufacturers and service providers for rotating equipment in the world. They are presently looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager for their service projects division to be based in Dubai, UAE. The role is focused on large ($1 million+) service contracts and projects for the Middle East market, with a focus on pumps.
Reporting in to the Vice President of Operations for the region you will be responsible for developing business for the service projects division, focusing on the Middle East, Pakistan and Iran.
Your remit will include:
* Developing the mid-range sales plan, and supporting the establishment of both annual and monthly sales budgets and objectives
* Ensuring that effective client contact, relationship building and management processes are in place to positively influence clients and make the company a preferred service provider
* Maintain a knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies, especially in relation to international business
* Understand the technical specifications of rotating equipment and how this can translate in to business for the company with specific customers and industries
Requirements
* 10+ years in a sales or business development role in the rotating equipment industry, focusing on service sales
* Strong technical knowledge of the pump industry backed by a degree or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline. A business or economics based degree and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered
* Proven sales background with a multinational rotating equipment OEM
* Experience of the Middle East region, with a knowledge of key customers in the market

* Up to 35k AED/Month basic salary
