Business Development Manager - World Travel Retail

Position Overview:

Within the agreed framework of WTR strategies and Annual Financial Budgets to develop and successfully implement the regional Business Development Plan to deliver the annual / medium-term business objectives for the given markets & key accounts.

Take over P&L responsibility for Travel Retail Market in Africa/Levant not including global Customers: Gebr. Heinemann, Dufry/WDFG, LS Travel Retail. Strengthen Regional Sales Team in line with the strategy for growth (regionalization) and business growth. Key Contributor to grow and strengthen Mondelez leadership position in an environment of increasing competition.

Responsibilities:

- Within the agreed framework of WTR strategies and Annual Financial Budgets develop and successfully implement a Business Development plan for the area / key accounts / markets to deliver the annual objectives. After gaining approval from SBDM, the incumbent is to successfully implement the plans and the agreed core basic business principles are to be reflected (focus on portfolio management, listings and distribution, effective promotional and visibility programs).
- Propose a merchandising and promotions plan and ensure its implementation in order to optimise WTR's point of sale exposure.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies and practices in the area of responsibility
- Elaborate and ensure forecast accuracy for the given area, in conjunction with Senior Development Manager and CSC requirements
- Coordinate with domestic management after prior consent from the Senior Manager in order to achieve consistency in executing Business Development plans and otherwise protect the best interest of WTR business in each market
- Provide local support to properly execute WTR participation in regional trade fairs / events

Requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training
- Min. University degree
- Knowledge of global and regional travel retail industry
