Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The BI analyst is primarily responsible for supporting and developing current BI solutions by creating dashboards and meaningful analytics in the Finance and Supply Chain areas in order to monitor the finance, procurement and logistics performance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Plan and implement the overall analytics and business intelligence strategy.
• Develop new and support existing Finance/Procurement BI applications in IBM Cognos and Tableau BI systems.
• Develop advanced analytics, insight reports, and dashboards that drive meaningful decisions to assist Finance and Procurement teams in taking business decisions.
• Be able to understand and interpret complex business requirements and translate them into useful BI applications.
• Develop and lead Finance and Procurement analytical projects through standard project management methodologies (gathering requirements, developing project plans, assembling resources, communicating status, influencing decisions, testing results, training users, and implementing value-added solutions)
• Ability to coach and mentor business users or other analysts on the design, development, and usage of the BI product suite and conduct end user training.
• Lead Finance and Procurement team to implement new BI and analytical systems with the IT.
• Manage information security for all Finance/Procurement BI applications.

• Number of reports/Dashboards created
• Timely completion of projects

Requirements

• BSc in engineering, business or communications
• A minimum of 5 years business experience in the field of data analytics and communications
• Master of visual communications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven success as a liaison between the technical and business teams.
• Sound knowledge of client-server, database, system design, and technical BI/Data warehouse architecture and ETL concepts.
• Extremely proficient and hands-on experience in designing data warehouse, reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos and Tableau BI systems
• Have extensive experience in the design and development of OLAP functionality.
• Ability to handle very large datasets. Understanding of Big data and Information Design.
• Debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting BI solution
