Business Practice Leader (International):

Key Relationships: Director of International Client Strategies, Office Practice Leaders. other Business Practice Leaders, Design Leaders, Market Leaders, Client Leaders, Project Management Leaders and Enterprise Team.

Key Responsibilities: Business Practice Leadership, focused on the Asia and UAE offices, and responsible for the successful implementation of our commercial, legal and process practices for the groups international client delivery. Business leadership focused on financial success, alignment and management of resources, and related staff growth and development. Together with the Director of International Client Strategies, and the Office Practice Leaders owns, champions and executes the firm's international business plan.

Requirements

Areas of Focus:

• Financial Performance: Owns and is accountable for the financial performance of the office. In partnership with the Office Practice Leaders define and champion initiatives and appropriate actions to achieve high quality service and performance, together with solid financial results and targeted profitability. Work with Director of International Strategies, Office Practice Leaders and client Leaders to develop fee and staffing strategies, including process approach, to achieve successful client and project outcomes.

• Business Practices: Responsible for ensuring that the best practices of project management leadership, including work planning, contracting / risk management, fee development and team management, are understood and implemented consistently in the International Practice. Work collaboratively with the Firm-wide Enterprise Team; Business Office and Legal Team to insure commercial and risk issues are properly addressed. Provide assessment, evaluation, mentorship and other appropriate actions to staff to address and improve successful outcomes in these areas.

• Process Leadership: Owns and is accountable for the successful implementation of our process methods and practice integration including Client Team Construct, Design Planning, Framework Development and Implementation, Digital, Quality and Sustainability goals. Responsible for achieving productivity improvements established by the Practice Strategies Team.

• Resource Allocation / Integration: Accountable for championing and enhancing SFMO in support of International client's needs. Support planning of the resources of the group as a single team of resources to align with profitability, staff development, quality goals, client expectations and strategic office growth. Work with the Director of International Strategies, the Office Practice Leaders and other Business Practice Leaders to champion high performance client focused teams in the Firm to capture and execute client opportunities.

• Staff Development: Collaborate with the Office Practice Leader, Market Leaders and Design Leaders to assess, build, recruit and develop the resources of the ?rm. Assist in the development and growth of the staff resources that support the strategic goals of the markets within the International Practice and the Asia and UAE offices, as outlined in the business plan. Work with other senior leaders to develop and implement a focused mentoring program for the future leaders of the firm.

• Accountability: Accountable to the Executive Director - Business Strategies and the Of?ce Practice Leader. Accountable together with the Of?ce Practice Leader and Design Leader for the overall goals for top line, pro?tability, design and technical quality, business, risk and process practice adherence, mentoring, and client engagement.

• Architecture or Engineering back ground Essential. Currently working within an International Design Practice or Engineering Consultant would be Advantageous.
