Job Purpose:

Business Technologist" specialized in Payments and Digital area to drive emerging payments initiatives from schemes, UAE central bank (e.g.: NPSS/CDS etc.) and strategic initiatives in Retail digital banking. This role will also require managing business requirements, business solutions coordinating with various functional areas to ensure efficiencies on the design and processes implemented.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Work closely with product team in delivering new capabilities for the business problems/initiatives identified.
• Stay abreast of the new changes in payments space and work closely with all internal stakeholders to deliver the approved initiatives.
• Drive CBUAE strategic initiatives like NPSS, IPP and CDS.
• Define the Payments business requirements & solution details into an appropriate level of business rules and detailed functional requirements.
• Define Cost effective scalable business solutions, which is in line with all regulatory compliances and risk parameters of the bank.
• Manage Payments platforms and bridge business with technology on changes in payment/rewards domain.
• Prepare business cases with appropriate level of details to obtain project approvals.
• Support business in Fintech partnerships and provide appropriate solution to leverage the partnership.
• Identification, evaluation, recommendation, development and implementation of all new technology solutions / innovations that contribute to an enhanced customer experience with the potential to increase revenue.
• Resolve and mitigate issues occurring on the Payments space impacting the Business areas. Analyze alternative approaches and strategies with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Work closely with the UI/UX and customer experience team to define the best customer experience via digital channels.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing & quality of delivery with testing resource and other Units. Support the testing team in analyzing impact.
• Responsible on progress and successful delivery of all strategic digital & payment's initiatives.
• Work towards digitalization of process & position bank as a challenger bank in Digital & Payments area.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum 10+ years' experience in Payments & Digital domain covering business, technology, operations, Solutions design & Digital Implementation.
• Experience in managing the implementation of payment & digital platforms.
• Should have technical and functional understanding of payment systems, core product (Debit, Credit & Prepaid), protocols and frameworks, and this has to balance with business acumen and commercial instincts.
• Familiarity with technologies and systems used in payments, cards and e-commerce; specifically, in areas of 3-D Secure, tokenization & authentication.
• Strong coordination and project management skills.
• In depth understanding of regulatory and technical requirements from key external stakeholders' requirements such as Central Bank, Visa & MasterCard.
