We are seeking to appoint an experienced Business Studies teacher to join Deira International School, Festival City, Dubai on an immediate start basis, although a later start date can be negotiated to accommodate contractual notice periods.

Rated outstanding by KHDA and BSO, Deira International School is located on an expansive campus in the heart of Festival City. A well-established, award-winning school offering both the British and IB curriculum. With students from ages 3-18, DIS is run as a not-for-profit school and is part of the Al Futtaim Education Foundation. Our personalised, play-based and continuous provision in the Early Years ensures that students are rigorously assessed against the prime and specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. This focuses on developing key learning skills and the foundations for accessing the Primary Curriculum. In primary, students receive an enriching and broad curriculum offer, which includes the delivery of several non-core subjects. Our senior students take the IGCSE examinations in Year 11 and move into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

AFEF aims to realise its vision of taking education in the UAE to the next level of future readiness and of preparing students for an increasingly globalised and technologically advanced world. The post: Business Studies teacher

This is an exciting opportunity to join a premium, well-resourced school, to teach Business Studies and to join a thriving and popular Commerce department, which has been achieving outstanding results across IGCSE and IB programmes. The uptake for Economics and Business Studies has significantly increased in IGCSE and IB in the last 3 years. The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a strong track record for attainment and progress to maintain our outstanding results and have a genuine enthusiasm for Business Studies and possess an excellent degree in a relevant subject. Experience in teaching IB Business Studies is not essential but would be advantageous. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of talent and ability and take part in our range of extracurricular activities from the Wall Street Crasher to the Young Entrepreneur of the Year, showcasing their talents in our Winter and Summer festivals.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• Experience teaching GCSE Business Studies is essential and A Level/IB experience is desirable.
• A B.Ed. or degree in a related subject and PGCE/PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mind-set which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
• Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
