Job description / Role
• Receiving and reviewing Purchase Requisitions and ensure that all required information is available and necessary approvals have been obtained.
• Float inquiries to approved vendors to obtain quotes for the products/services requested
• Prepare a techno-commercial evaluation of the quotes received in order to select the best supplier
• Negotiate and finalize the best price and payment terms
• Prepare and issue POs to vendors with all necessary approvals
• Follow up with vendors and ensure timely delivery of items ordered
• Develop new /specialist vendors on a regular basis
• Develop and maintain an ethical relationship with vendors /subcontractors
• Keeping up the company’s standard of quality production/ jobs by the choice of materials used.
• Maintain the company’s reputation for integrity and fair dealing by the method of negotiating with vendors.
• Building up goodwill in the business world with which it deals in.
• Close out quality incident reports received from Production/ Projects and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Attend to all communication pertaining to delegated job areas
• Maintain records relevant to Procurement Department
• Generate necessary reports from the system as and when required
• Ensure that Weekly Report is prepared and submitted to the Procurement Manager
• Arrange samples/technical data sheets as and when required by Project Team.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, CIPD
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 -7 years of relevant experience in the Fit-out industry.
Skills:
• Strong Knowledge in Joinery Materials.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to independently resolve both technical and commercial issues with vendors.
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and strong follow-up ability.
