Job description / Role
An eCommerce platform renowned for their premium, contemporary and designer fashion is seeking a Buyer/Senior Buyer with strong experience and knowledge working in the Middle East/GCC. We are seeking an individual who has around 5-8 years buying experience with a premium or contemporary multi-brand business.
This role will be based in Dubai and report directly into the Buying Director and CEO. You will be working collaboratively across a multi category team consisting of womenswear apparel, accessories, footwear and leather goods .
Responsibilities:
* Drive the creative direction and source new brands and products whilst negotiating the best terms.
* Manage the performance of womenswear and work cross functionally to drive sales and maximise profitability through leading your team.
* Partnering with the merchandise team, you will plan the OTB and monitor and review in season, taking action where necessary.
* Developing relationships and secure suitable brands in line with the overall brand strategy
* Managing existing brands and concessions through regular meetings with the concession and floor managers to analyse performance
* Work closely with the eCommerce and marketing teams to maximise opportunities and sales
Requirements
* Regional experience as a buyer is essential
* Womenswear experience is essential
* At least 5-8 years' experience buying womenswear contemporary or premium brand
* Strategic with a solid understanding of the product
* Strong understanding of Global and Middle Eastern market trends
* Strong negotiator and have the ability to influence and motivate a team
* Creative, innovative and highly commercial approach
* Be proactive and enthusiastic and want to be a part of a growing team.
* Open to international travel to attend seasonal buying trip
