Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Cashiering

• Count money in cash drawer at the beginning of the shift to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change, and inform Head Cashier Office (HCO)/Finance Department immediately in case any variance found.
• Match the day opening physical cash balance with the previous day’s closing records and open statement posting at the beginning of each day.
• Responsible for shop’s float cash fund, cash handling and cash deposit in the bank.
• Compute and record totals of transactions, calculate total cash received during the day, and reconcile this with total sales
• Perform day-end procedures such as sort, count, and wrap currency, record cash denominations, tender declarations, collecting receipts, cash deposits, closing emails, etc.
• Ensure a safe & proper transition of cash to Shop Manager/in-charge when not available or temporarily away from shop for a break
• Should have sufficient knowledge about the Navision System and its procedures.

Inventory

• Carry on inventory movement process and maintain proper transfer-in/transfer-out transaction.
• Count hanging items and packages, scanning & match the physical items’ amounts, style number, and sizes with the receiving /dispatching sheet.
• Post the shipment transfer on Navision System and provide acknowledgment or acquire it from the shipment carrier after verifying and coordinating with the sales team/store keeper.
• Satisfaction & Relations Customer
• Greet customers to the shop and provide the highest standards of customer service.
• Scan the items for customers, Issue the sales receipts and receive the payment by cash, check, credit cards, or vouchers.
• Match the sizes of the Shoes and Sandals pair, and size of Suit’s Jacket with the Trouser.
• Ensure that the product type, style number, and quantity of the goods the customer receives are exactly what the customer pays for, and that the transaction is recorded on POS system.
• Process item returns and refund with the proper approval of the authorized personnel and according to the company’s policies and procedures, prepare the refund forms and arrange all the required documents.

Task Operational

• Obtain and update his/her knowledge from time to time about products, prices, Refunds & exchange policies, currency, and exchange rate, answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
• Pay company bills using “float cash” only, as per the management instructions.
• Responsible for answering calls, monitoring emails, informing the showroom manager/in-charge about the received emails, preparing emails as per the shop manager instruction and informing the shop manager/in-charge to reply to emails in case he/she is not available to do so
• Assist the shop manager to prepare periodical reports & documents and submit to Area Manager/ Sale Department / Head Office when requested.
• Maintain checkout area clean and in order.
• Follow the internal instruction of Area Manager/Shop Manager, the company’s rules and regulations and SOP
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and abide by the company’s uniform/dressing code
• Perform other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.

Salary:
AED 2,800 to 3,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or cashier experience.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
• Attention to detail.
• Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
