We are currently recruiting for Category Artwork Copy Expert - 6 months contract

The purpose of this role is to ensure marketing elements of the RBU Master Copy are provided On Time & without defects and Final Artworks are developed in line with the master copy. This role aims to coordinate the collection and approval of the claims and any marketing elements to include on pack. The Category Artwork Copy Experts have responsibility for the effectiveness and results of the marketing copy process as part of the overall artwork execution work process. They are also expected to ensure all functions involved in Master Copy process are trained for input and approval of elements on the master copy.

Artwork is a critical business process as it provides the information needed for consumer communications (to select, use and dispose of our products). Providing claims accurately and on time is key to ensure artwork quality and avoid any QI / SQI.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility / scope of the work:
• Owns CPS for claim development and alignment, CPS for Master Copy and ensures they are synchronized with initiative CPS and artwork CPS.
• Attends claim alignment meeting led by Legal and shares approved claims with the MDOs (via the MDO artwork copy expert when applicable).
• Works with RBU Mktg, RBU GPS & RBU Legal to secure correct Master Copies are approved in the system.
• Attends the initiative project kick off (led by the IDL) and initiative project team meeting optionally.
• Attends Design Planning Meetings (led by DDS/DM or RBU Mktg).
• Attends artwork kick-off meeting and provides input on all RBU Marketing owned elements.
• Attends weekly artwork project status meetings led by artwork planners & provides regular updates on Master Copy status.
• Approves consistency of the Final Artwork versus CIC approved in e-PADex following the DDS process and supporting documentation.
• Trains appropriate RBU functions and PSC artwork planners on copy process and tracks training completion.
• Trained/Qualified on Global A/W Processes by artwork HPN, based on step-up card.

Leadership/direction:
• Owns issue resolution in the overall creation and approval of the mastercopy between Marketing and GPS
• Provides suppliers (Design agency/BVEs) with guidance via artwork planning and DDS and supports them in delivering packaging as per Marketing objectives.

Communication:
• Provides on going support for MDOs/GBU – Provide info/material when requested (Proof of claims / Set of Claims / ECAPS document/ etc)
• Owns repository of copy tool (when available )

Complexity / impact of decisions:
• Is accountable for the Quality results and Right The First Time / On time on Marketing Master Copy delivery. Conducts thorough gap analysis on a monthly basis and make recommendations for process improvement.
• Works with Marketing/Legal to ensure that claims used on pack are legally approved and applicable to all MDOs/Intended Selling Locations.

Requirements

Technical expertise:
• Understand Brand equity guidelines and process; BU Knowledge – Category, Brands, Line-up, Language Clusters
• Is knowledgeable of the artwork process and process linkage with other key processes and interfaces (RBU/MDO); owns action plan to improve artwork quality and speed related to marketing copy elements
• Is knowledgeable about ePADEx functionality, knows the ePADEX support model, how to screen basic questions and escalate issue, following available escalation CBAs.
• Is knowledgeable of claim approval tool (CAM, CAF, ECAPS or equivalent). Trained by Marketing / Legal.

Communication:
• Ability to influence and make timely decisions.
• Lead meetings, writing skills to provide clear direction to others, communicate with other functions, internally with GBU and MDO Marketing, Legal, GPS, BO across all levels.

Leadership / direction:
• Acts as business owner with operational discipline and focuses on priorities. Ownership/accountability and “CAN DO” attitude is a must.
• Works autonomously and manage decisions as well as escalation accordingly.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills to manage expectations and engagement of Marketing. Proactively identify issues and develop efficient solutions.
