Category Director - Consumer Bakery (Flour)

Job description / Role

A well known FMCG company is currently looking for a Category Director will work closely with the Marketing, Product Development, Retail and Sales, and Supply Chain teams, in order to successfully:
- Lead and manage the business segment of Consumer Bakery products by providing directives on cross-functional plans and activities across to deliver business objectives.
- Own and develop the strategic direction, innovation pipeline, and rolling yearly product plan for the business segment to deliver growth objectives and account-specific differentiation.
- Lead market launch strategy and planning for new product introductions.
- Analyze sell through and profitability performance of existing products and make necessary adjustments to optimize sell through and profitability against company objectives.
- Devise long-term development strategies for category growth
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category

Our client is a leading FMCG company based in Abu Dhabi with asset locations in UAE, Oman, Egypt and Turkey.

Requirements

- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, specifically handling Consumer Bakery (Flour) products
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Strong and competitive marketing intelligence (Updated Trends)
- Bachelor’s Degree Graduate
