Category Manager MYPC - UAE

To achieve our ambitious growth in the Middle East region, we are currently looking for a Category Manager who will drive the development and execution of local category strategy in close collaboration with regional categories and ensure optimal execution of local brands and category plans. The role will report to the Senior Category Manager MYPC and to be based in our office in Sharjah, UAE.

Grow our Milk, Yoghurt, Powder and Cooking categories and product portfolio:

Our regional ambition is to be the category expert in milk, yoghurt, powder and cooking responsible for utilization of the full suite of relevant sources focusing on the analysis and interpretation of the latest industry/market information and consumer/shopper trends. You create clear direction with commercial teams, monitor performance of these plans on an ongoing basis and make sound recommendation as to any changes of modifications required. You will ensure optimal local execution of the category strategy, development and management including giving input on NPDs and regional marketing campaigns, support both internal and external customers with in-depth category knowledge that allows them to make informed decision to deliver objectives and engage country organization to live and breathe category thoughts. You are fully aware of specific retailer strategies, priorities and key objectives and align own activities, implement trade marketing activities and secure trade activities are optimized in relation to ROI and campaign objectives.

You will be responsible to follow market development through regular market visits and coordinate with sales department on market situation, monitor competitor activities and prepare monthly report on competition movies and propose actions. You keep track of our price positioning vs competitors and take the lead in proposing price changes to copy with market fluctuations. You will also be responsible for keeping sales and merchandising handbooks up to date and conduct surveys and ad hoc tasks when needed.

Requirements

Local marketing experience and global mindset:

Preferably you should have a Master’s degree and your background covers experience from an FMCG environment where you have worked with category management for at least 4 years.

As a result, you have acquired tools in the areas of successful creative execution, increased category brand equity, innovative marketing campaigns activations and product launches. You have business professional skills required to demonstrate and deliver performance up to standard and show self-driven strive towards exceeding targets at all levels. You are a team player, hardworking , proactive with entrepreneurial spirit.
